We have had a wonderful time on this trip and hate to see it end.  Lots of mixed emotions, I don't want to leave but it is time to go home.  We met a lot of people and made friends with them, some we will never forget.  The country is very beautiful with lots of construction and improvements being made everywhere.  Everyone but Keith should be back in the states by now.  Keith will leave here at about midnight tonight.  Keith gave me some pictures taken back in 1971 and I will try and do some before and after pictures soon.

We had a day of relaxing and swimming in the pool.  That evening Jon invited some friends to join in singing karaoke.  We would not make the American Idol but we had lots of fun.

Tomorrow we are going to Saigon and do some touring and shopping.

The next post will be our last dinner together and then at the airport leaving for home.

See you later.  JON

Night life in Nha Trang

We had another great day.  Sorry this didn't get on yesterdays post.
We met a former VC and had a great visit with him.  He said what happened in the past can stay there and we can move on.  He said he is glad we can be friends today.  After the war he went to the university and got his law degree and today he is the head judge for Nha Trang.  He has held this position for the last 23 years.  He invited us to join with him for dinner, and we went to Louisane Restaurant again and enjoyed some music and dancing.  Some of the guys said this is the USO Show we never got to see 40 years ago.  I am trying to upload a video but it is 64MG and I am not sure if it is going to work.  It looks like the video is on.  Take a look at Jim and his dancing.  He drew quite an applause from the people around us.  Good old Hollywood Jim.

Yesterday we left Nha Trang and came back to the Diamond Hotel which is where we stayed the first couple of nights.  We are just relaxing today with some swimming.  Tonight the owner of the hotel has invited us to join him for Karaoke.  He is a professional singer, so we will see how it goes.

Post more later.  JON
