Phil telling Jim what happened the night Jim was wounded
We are at the Quan Loi Airport trying to decide where everything was. We wanted to find the swimming pool.
We had a very successful day. We were able to locate everything we wanted. A lot of stories were told, along with a lot of laughing and remembering things we had forgotten. It was a long and hot day and dinner was great. Tomorrow at 6 AM we leave for Qui Nhon and we will be there for two nights. We also celebrated my birthday today. See you tomorrow.
Jon,
ReplyDeleteI am Phil's daughter. Thanks so much for posting these pictures! I am enjoying seeing my Pop throughout his travels. Trisha Erickson
Glad you guys had a safe trip. I think it is awesome that you all get to go back to the place that made you all good friends. Keep up with the pics. I'm proud of my dad and all of you that served in Vietnam. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm Martin's son, Chris.
Thanks for allowing me to follow you along in your journey. Looking forward to hearing and seeing more as you work your way across the country.
ReplyDeleteA big THANK YOU and a debt of gratitude to each of you for your service and sacrifice. As just a little boy in the 60's, you were my heroes and I looked up to each and every one of you who served. 40+ years later, that hasn't changed. I'm proud to be an American because of men like you.
