Eating Bun Bo Hue at a 4 star restaurant in Hue

We started our trip today from Qui Nhon and head North to Hue.  We visited LZ English where Scott served 40 years ago.  It was a terrific day for him seeing the place he was at 40 years ago.  It brought back good and bad memories.

As you can see in the first picture we are standing on the runway which is used today to dry rice.  The runway was in excellent  condition.  We were able to meet with a man that lived next to the runway and get information about the area.  He was a wounded South Vietnamese soldier.  Scott was able to go and find where the heliport was and you could still see a big "H" painted on the ground where they would land to bring wounded to the hospital.

We continued our way up to Hue and we will be spending a couple of days here.  Tomorrow we will go to the areas Tony and Keith were 40 years ago.  We will also do some sight seeing.  See you tomorrow.

  1. That's great that you all were able to find the old LZ and Dad was able to point things out and reminisce about his time there. I wish I could have been there too. Take care and please keep up the posts. The trip looks great.
